We can help.
Our coaching is grounded in the work of Dr. John Gottman
The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work is the result of scientific study of more than 3,000 couples by world renowned relationship expert Dr. John Gottman.
Through his groundbreaking research, Dr. Gottman was able to identify the precise behaviors that make marriages work AND the precise behaviors that are toxic to a relationship.
forBetter has teamed with two Certified Gottman Therapists — Zach Brittle and Laura Heck — who have trained extensively at the Gottman Institute under Dr. Gottman personally. Zach and Laura will be your guides on your journey to save, strengthen, and safeguard your marriage.
LAURA HECK is a relationship expert, speaker, media personality, Certified Gottman Therapist and Master Trainer for The Gottman Seven Principles Program. Laura has been a featured speaker for Google Talks, coached hundreds of women through the Epic Wives Experiment, and is co-host of the podcast Marriage Therapy Radio . She now lives in Bend, OR with her beloved and patient husband of 15 years, and their gregarious young son.

Zach and Laura have spent thousands of hours counseling married couples from all walks of life. Even though every couple is unique, there are commonalities to their complaints.
Drawing on their wealth of training and clinical experience, forBetter asked Zach and Laura to develop a program to guide at-home couples with the same insights couples receive during in-office counseling. The result is Marriage in Motion, a recorded series of 16 on-demand video coaching sessions.
What couples are saying about Marriage in Motion
“Think of it. We live in a different hemisphere than Zach and Laura. Still, they faithfully meet us in our home — every single week — at a time of our choosing. They are engaging, easy to follow, and willing to move at our pace. And it’s working! We’re building a stronger marriage. We’re enjoying a closer connection. We’re so grateful for this opportunity.”
